Xenical is used to treat obesity and obesity-related health issues such as type 2 diabetes. It works by preventing the body from absorbing fats from the food that the body is meant to absorb. This leads to less fat being absorbed, which can help reduce weight and obesity.

General Product Description
Xenical (Orlistat) is used for the control of weight in overweight adults and adolescents 18 years and over. It is similar to or similar to the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) Pexeva, Zantac, and Propecia. Both Xenical and Pexeva have in their capsules a "lipase" enzyme which prevents esters from being taken up by the body by breaking down the esters. By inhibiting this enzyme, Xenical prevents the esters from being taken up by the body and consequently, control of weight loss is achieved. In other words, both drugs work very differently from each other and are not related at all to each other.
